I feel the same way (from the would-be author perspective).
Since I saw an american citizen, who tore out every read page of his book (as a “Bookmark”), I am a little bit sensible with wasted paperbacks… A sad view…
What a terrible waste of the written word! I like to keep my books whole – easier to share that way…
