Idle Hands…

Idle hands inevitabley end up decorating the sides of rusty boxcars.   But really, it’s so much more than urban art, as I discovered while dodging trains across from the marina last night.   It’s wisdom from a spray can.  Take these insightful aerosol expressions for example:

Look out!  I’m happy that some transient individual chose to warn me about something unspecific.   I shall remain vigilant at all hours of the day and night looking out… for…it.

That’s what “it” is!  Watch out for idle hands!  They are the devil’s playground after all.  This epiphany came to someone in Bellingham back in 2003.

Maybe put those idle hands together and do something useful like, I don’t know…pray?

Of course, it’s always important to love yourself.    This message may have had more of an impact if it had been facing the street side of the railroad instead of the hill-side.  Oh well, someone tried.
