I Need a Macro Lens

Sign of Spring

This is as close to the flower as I could get with my 18-200 mm before it refused to focus.  So, I guess I now save my pennies and get a good macro lens.  And a flash.  The list goes on.  It’s times like this I get a little upset about the money spent on my return trip to Ireland, but then I have to shake it off.  All things in time…Patience has never been a virtue of mine.

  1. I commented on your macro you posted after this one. I have this lens and have taken some great macro looking shots with it. I set my lens to manual focus and I have to keep a distance limited by the lens before I can focus. Sometime they come out great and you can hardly tell they are not macro. Best of luck with the macro lens.

    1. Thanks, Sarah. Like I said to David – one thing at a time. I think it’s just figuring out what you need the most and then buying things in the order of their importance.

    1. Thanks, David! It was interesting..which makes me wish all the more that I had a macro lens to catch more of the detail. First priority is actually a flash, which I’ll get with PAR next month. One thing at a time. 🙂
