As I was driving along Lake Samish Drive last Friday I spotted two graffiti covered rocks. I stopped to take a few pictures and was fascinated by the layers of paint that have dripped into colorful latex stalactites. There’s art everywhere!
Finding the beauty in ordinary things
You really do have a great eye. There is indeed art everywhere!
It’s amazing what you can find just driving down the road!
Very pretty, a good spot from you and a really interesting capture. It’s nice to pick out the beauty in what is generally considered to be unsightly.
Thank you! I always try to look at things from a different perspective.
Thank you for stopping by and for your encouraging words.
I like how you captured the smaller details within the big picture in this photo. I’m still learning to see those.
Thank you! Judging by your blog, it’d seem like you have a natural eye for it. It all just takes practice…and with photography, practice is fun. 🙂
Really interesting mould-like colours.
It does have that kind of science-experiment quality about it. Apparently the rock colors change as often as the weather. Next week they might be hot pink depending on whose birthday it is and how bored the local high school/college kids get.
LOL Good that you took the photo now. I think these colours make for a better photo than hot pink would!
It does look like the inside of a cave or something. Just a nice, creepy shot. 🙂
Thanks! I love finding random stuff like this.
Oh wow, how very interesting! Is that the rock anyone heading north into Bham will see off to the right? Nice find Jolene!
No…this is on the road that runs parallel to I-5 South just south of the Shell station.
