It’s cute.  When Andy was 9 years old he saved his pennies and bought this wallet with his “own money”.  It had such a profound impact on his life that he has never replaced it.  Even to this day, Andy carries this wallet.  We try to convince him to upgrade, but he won’t budge.

Last night, we threw a surprise 34th birthday party for Andy and had a wallet theme.  Our friend Pauli made him a wallet cake.  Not only that, but each party goer gifted Andy with a new wallet!  So, now – when he is ready – he can choose between about 10 different kinds.  I’m guessing he’ll never be ready, though, and his 25 year-old velcro companion will stay by his side another 25 years – or as long as it still holds his cash.
