There’s a cobblestone pathway that runs by Abbey Garden Tea Room and Skylark’s Hidden Cafe in Fairhaven. For years, I’ve taken this short cut from my usual parking spot behind Abbey’s to Harris Avenue.

The wrought iron fence that encloses the outdoor seating at Skylark’s has an old world quality that captures my imagination every time I walk by. Depending on the time of year it’s covered with leaves or flower blossoms – yet another thing I love about Fairhaven.
