This picture represents the scrambled mess that was Thursday. I have a tendency to hold on to everything instead letting go and moving on, even when it’s dying in my hands.
It’s difficult because the same passion that keeps me committed to school and my career goals is also the same passion that keeps me from letting go of things that are unhealthy. I hold on because I hope to change the things that I cannot. This leads to hurt, because you can never change the heart of another human being.
Yes, life goes on. And as I move forward this time, it’s with this:
God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
The courage to change the things that I can;
And the wisdom to know the difference.
